Imbibe in Chocolate

Saint Patrick's Day is an affair that we mostly associate with green food coloring and beer. Green food coloring is really devoid of culinary meaning. Beer, however, shares with chocolate the potential to become truly refined, with the careful selection and treatment of ingredients. And the great corporate minds at Scharffen Berger and Samuel Adams have brought beer and chocolate together into a libation that's truly worth savoring this Saint Patty's Day.

Sam Adams' deep, dark Chocolate Bock is aged on a bed of cacao nibs dotted with vanilla beans to ensure that the beer is evenly infused with the essence of chocolate. The elegant 750-ml bottles go for about US$15.
